 the gardens have many rare and unusual trees and other plants , which give interest all year .

Lee Bay near Ilfracombe .

A quiet beach which can be reached either by going over the rocks from the main Lee Bay beach at low tide or via steep steps from the coast path at high tide . well worth the effort .

This valley used to be a conifer plantation and was clear felled two years ago, this is the rather beautiful result.

Combe Martin beach viewed from the old cave.

Combe Martin beach viewed from the old cave under Lester Point. This cave was made in the 18th century as part of the local silver and lead mine industry. Silver and Lead can occasionally still be found on beaches in the area to this day.

This house has always intrigued me, it even has a ruined boat and a ruined car in the grounds.

It would make a great set for a horror film.
